Stop by to mingle with some of the most adorable dachshunds you've ever seen and show your support for Doxie by Proxy—a fantastic organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dachshunds and dachshund mixes right here in North Carolina.
How You Can Help
Doxie by Proxy is in need of small beds, collars, leashes, and blankets to help care for these sweet pups. As a token of our appreciation, we'll be giving out delicious sweet potato dog cookies for free to furry friends who stop by and make a donation!
But the giving doesn't stop there—throughout the entire month of June, we'll be accepting donations. As a thank you, anyone who donates items will receive a free chocolate chip cookie. And if you'd like to make a monetary donation, you can simply round up your purchase at checkout.
Why We Care
This cause holds a special place in our hearts here at Cravin’ Confections Dessert Bar, as owner Jennifer Smith, who celebrates her birthday in June, has two beloved dachshunds of her own, Copper & Mocha. In honor of her birthday month, Jennifer is dedicated to using this time to make a meaningful impact in the lives of dachshunds in need.

Previously associated with Almost Home Dachshund Rescue Society, Doxie by Proxy prides itself on being community-oriented, focusing on rescuing and placing dachshunds within its own community. They operate as a foster home-based rescue, accepting shelter intakes and owner surrenders from North Carolina. Their mission goes beyond rescue—they aim to educate and counsel owners to prevent surrenders and keep pets in loving homes whenever possible.
